Meredith Lloyd is a patent attorney with a background in the field of chemical engineering and specialized knowledge in the fields of electrochemistry and emulsion processes. Her practice is dually focused on prosecution of patents and trademarks before the USPTO and on litigation in state and federal courts. She has litigated intellectual property disputes in federal trial courts, before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board, and before the U.S. International Trade Commission. Meredith has also authored amicus curiae briefs submitted to appellate courts including the United States Supreme Court and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and has litigated civil rights issues in both state and federal courts.

 

Prior to law school, Meredith worked spent several years working for research & development and manufacturing industry leaders in the Midwest. Her technical experience includes hands-on work at all phases of engineering, from research & development through process design and improvement. She has contributed to and led a variety of research projects in the fields of immunology, ionic adsorption technology, and emulsion chemistry. In addition to her engineering background, Meredith has experience working with patents that cover custom chemicals, consumer products, and energy storage systems.

 

Meredith received her J.D. cum laude from Capital University Law School while maintaining a full-time job as an engineer. She holds a B.S. in chemical engineering from Miami University.
