Isaac Diskind is an experienced litigation attorney with a focus on real estate and commercial litigation. Isaac’s litigation experience spans a number of substantive areas of law including commercial litigation, real estate litigation, white collar defense, and constitutional law. He has also worked on internal corporate investigations.
Some of Isaac's representative matters include working as part of a small team representing a special committee of the board of directors of a Fortune 500 company undertaking an internal investigation in response to a shareholder demand letter, quashing a subpoena in federal court by successfully invoking a client’s act-of-production privilege under the Fifth Amendment, procuring the dismissal of breach of fiduciary duty and related claims between partners in an LLC, and successfully foreclosing on millions of dollars’ worth of commercial mortgages on behalf of his clients. His trial court work ranges from drafting pleadings through trial and includes everything in between.
In addition to his trial court work, Isaac represents clients in appeals where he has procured appellate decisions in favor of his clients. Although the bulk of his practice takes place in State and Federal court, Isaac has been involved in pre-litigation settlements, mediation, and arbitration. He also worked during law school as a Junior Law Clerk for the Hon. Vincent L. Briccetti in the Southern District of New York as part of the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law's Alexander Fellows program.
